Rock Solid Rattlesnake Romance: The Daryl & Carol Story
What can we learn from two snakes in just one week, without laying a hand on them? When a pair of Rock Rattlesnakes showed up in our backyard, we had a front-row seat to something rare. Meet Daryl and Carol and see what their week together reveals about how these snakes find food, find each other, and (maybe) test each other along the way. Filmed and photographed the whole way, this is their story.

12:00 to Finish – Gold panning
Location – Patio outside of the Dining room.

1:30 to 2:30 – “Fossil Elephants in Arizona? Got One!
Paleontologist, Rose Fowers, will present a slide show of the excavation of an extinct, Late Pleistocene Mastodon that was found in Arizona in the 1990s. Rose participated in the dig and will share what it was like to excavate the bones of an extinct and rare specimen.
Rose is a founding member of the Southwest Paleontological Society affiliated with the Arizona Museum of Natural History. She also received an appointment as an Adjunct Curator in Paleontology by the New Mexico Museum of Natural History.
